Couldn’t make the summer camps or were unable to get in?
The Veterinary Science Certificate Program would like to announce the addition of two new day camps in October and November.
The October day camp is designed for students 14-18 that would like to gain experience in various working of veterinary science. Participants will learn general vet science skills and potentially have those skills signed off by a veterinarian. We will have a mock contest over breeds and instruments to finish off our day.
The November camp is designed for students 11- 13 years old. These participants will learn about the Veterinary Science Certificate program as a whole as well as skills designed to get them ready to enter the vet clinic.
We can’t wait to help broaden the knowledge of students studying in the animal science and agriculture industry.

October Online Veterinary Science Contest

Are you one of the lucky teams that is advancing to National and need a practice contest?
The Veterinary Science Certificate Program would like to announce the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension National Online Vet Science Contest!!!
This contest will be October 12-14, 2021. The contest will have a 50 question test, 75 ID, a math portion and 2 Video practicums from the 2021 Texas FFA list.

Veterinary Science Teacher Training Academy
Tired of sitting on zoom meetings and not being able to get up and be active?
Do you teach vet science and want to practice the vet science skills?
Than look no further than the Veterinary Science Teacher Training Academy June 21 and 22 in Canyon, TX.
The vet science workshops will highlight information about the Texas A&M Veterinary Science Certificate Program and how to implement it into your classroom. In addition, we will discuss the certification process for students who wish to get their CVA through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and how our program can help them reach that. You won’t want to miss tips on how to successfully implement veterinary skills and techniques into the classroom. Don’t miss the opportunity to add these unique opportunities in your classroom!
Tyler Vogel and Dr. Dan Posey, DVM will lead this workshop. Participants will receive PD 12 CEUs and educational materials. Enrollment limited to 27.
